Birth Kalamazoo's six-week prenatal yoga class is designed to help you build strength and flexibility for pregnancy, birth, and a faster postpartum recovery. You'll learn about ways to alleviate the common aches and pains that come with pregnancy. Together we focus on strengthening mind, body and spirit, while building community and connection each week.

Each class provides a safe and nurturing space to connect with others, yourself, and your baby. Alison integrates and builds on themes from our childbirth education classes, such as effective breathing, relaxation techniques, and a flow of positions you might also use in labor.

Alison's prenatal yoga class is an excellent companion to our childbirth classes, and it can also be taken on its own at any stage of pregnancy. Whether this is your first, second, third or more baby, join Birth Kalamazoo on Wednesday nights to connect with your body, your breath, and your little one. Some students join us for several six-week sessions during their pregnancy — you're welcome again and again.

The exercises, poses and meditations we teach translate beautifully to your life outside of class, so you can bring the peace of Wednesday nights with you wherever you go — including into your birth and beyond.
